Cryptos ™

Cryptos™ is a very unusual security print feature. It uses only [encryption software] coupled with steganography, can be both printed and recovered at low resolution but offers the full strength of Paracryption ™ to prevent forgery* or counterfeiting.  Below is a typical example. What you can see is the original ID Card, then the Cryptos™ version of it and finally the recovered image after scanning and decoding.

This capability to prevent variable data from being changed in low cost printing applications provides a powerful weapon in the fight against counterfeiting of valuable documents, goods and forgery of labels. It is because of the low resolution scanning that anyone with simple digital imaging equipment, even a mobile phone camera, can take a good enough copy of a Cryptos™ image on a label or packet to email for fast automated authentication.
